For some reason, about 2/3 of the P3015 printers would lose duplex setting after a print server reboot. Freshly built 2012 R2 print server, using drivers bundled with Server 2012 R2. They can validate your experience if they have the device or already know of this issue. I will forward this post to the HP driver developer who works in Redmond. If you are using HP's Port monitor, this would fail. The only thing HP requests is the Duplex unit so I'm guessing a response is not properly returned over SNMP or HP is not looking in the correct OID on the device thus a FALSE is returned.
